Quick Answer

Jelly Glaze Cocoa Brown Contact Lenses are a warm cocoa brown with a soft smoky edge — an everyday brown that flips pop-glam the second you add frosty highlight and clear gloss.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close it’s a smooth cocoa brown with no green or gold shift. The color blends outward instead of stopping at a hard ring, fading through a smoky taupe edge that melts into the outer iris, so there’s no heavy black rim cutting across the eye. Fine dot texture shows through the brown and keeps the surface from looking flat, and the finish stays satin rather than glassy. Coverage is even from center to edge, which is why it stays clean in flash.

What to Wear With Brown

Brown contact lenses this warm love denim blue, frosty white, and silver.

1. Low-rise denim and a baby tee. Dark indigo jeans, a ribbed white tee, a cropped denim jacket, tiny silver hoops, frost-white highlight.

2. Satin slip and silver. A champagne or steel grey satin slip, thin silver chain, hoop earrings, glossy clear lip.

3. Velour and butter yellow. A terry velour zip-up in butter yellow or baby pink, gold-tone jewelry, thin brows, glossy nude-brown lip.

Where They Fit

Coffee runs, lectures, work calls, and travel days — anywhere a neutral brown works. Save the louder styling for birthday dinners, rooftop parties, and mall photo booths. They also read as an easy costume-light pick when you want a defined chocolate eye without a full character look.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one note. The cocoa brown is soft enough for class or the office with mascara and sheer gloss. It turns into a statement once you add frosted eyeshadow, thin dark brows, and flash — keep that version for nights out.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
