Quick answer
Ink Rose Pink Contact Lenses are a deep, soft-edged pair that reads like ink under a thin wash of light — a low-makeup everyday lens, not a costume piece.
What the Shade Looks Like
The center is dense black, deepening around the pupil and feathering outward instead of stopping at a line. There is no hard outer ring; the mid-field drifts into muted charcoal and blends into the natural iris. The surface looks smooth — no visible dot or mesh pattern, just soft diffusion and one clean highlight near the center. Against the blush light of the shot, the edge reads faintly dusty, not flat grey.
What to Wear With Pink Contact Lenses
-
Bare-skin neutrals. Oatmeal knit, cream cotton, camel coat, taupe trousers, brushed gold. Keep it matte so the dark iris leads.
-
Dusty rose tailoring. Pale rose blazer, ivory silk shirt, stone trousers, pearl studs, silver. Rose beside black reads quietly expensive.
-
Inky evening minimal. Black satin slip, charcoal cashmere, a leather jacket, matte silver, plum lip. Skip glitter.
Where They Fit
Desk days, errands, travel, soft-light portraits. They also suit a party or cosplay look if you build the makeup around them.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one qualifier: keep daytime faces simple — tinted moisturizer, cream blush, one coat of mascara. Heavy graphic liner turns them into a different look.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
