Quick Answer

Iced Mocha Brown Contact Lenses are a full-coverage brown lens: deep espresso at the outer zone, melting into a lighter toffee-brown center. They read warm, rich and softly blurred — Y2K glam without a hard ring.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a full brown field with a clear dark-to-light gradient: deep espresso brown at the outer zone fading into a softer toffee tone near the center. No dot matrix, no mesh, no mirrored shine — the surface looks smooth and matte-soft. The edge behaves as a soft darker halo rather than a graphic ring, so the transition against the eye stays gentle.

What to Wear With Brown

  1. Low-rise denim + baby tee: cropped white tee, faded straight-leg jeans, thin silver chain, pearl highlighter, clear gloss.
  2. Velour track jacket + slip skirt: chocolate velour over a cream satin midi, gold hoops, glossy mauve lips.
  3. Cargo mini + berry lip: olive cargo skirt, fitted black tank, chunky silver rings, deep cherry lip.

Where They Fit

Soft brown smoky eyes at the office, weekend brunch, travel days with barely-there makeup, parties and photo shoots where the eye should hold the frame. Flash photography flatters this depth of brown.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — the gradient is soft enough for work or class. It leans warm, so cool-toned icy makeup fights it; keep the palette in caramel, bronze and cream and it reads like your own good eye day.

FAQ

What color are these lenses?
Brown — a deep espresso edge with a lighter toffee center.

What should I pair with brown contact lenses?
Low-rise denim and silver jewelry for Y2K styling, or chocolate velour and gold for warmth.

Are they everyday lenses?
For me, yes, with warm makeup; choose a cooler lens if your look is icy blue and silver.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
