Quick Answer
Icebox Midnight Blue Contact Lenses are a cool midnight blue with a dark center that brightens across the mid-iris and fades softly at the edge. They read frosty and flash-ready, not like a natural tint.
What the Shade Looks Like
The blue sits deepest at the pupil, then lifts into a brighter, cooler blue through the mid-iris. There is no dark ring and no hard outer line — the color softens and disappears at the edge, so it looks blended rather than drawn on.
A fine dotted mesh lays the color down evenly, so the blue reads saturated instead of watery. The bright spot in the photo is studio lighting, not a coating on the lens.
What to Wear With Blue
-
Low-Rise Denim and Silver. Flared jeans, a white baby tee, pointed sneakers, thin silver hoops and butterfly clips, with frosted white shadow and clear gloss.
-
Frosted Baby Blue. A silver slip dress or a pale blue velour zip hoodie over metallic cargos, icy nails and a glossy lip.
-
Sporty Y2K. A white track jacket, velour pants, chunky trainers, cool-toned blush, thin brows and a claw clip.
Where They Fit
These are camera-first lenses: birthday dinners, concert photos, mirror selfies, Y2K nights. On desk and travel days, keep makeup neutral and the blue becomes the statement. Party or cosplay styling works too — as an accent, not a costume.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one caveat. With denim, white and silver they fit a normal week. If you want an undetectable eye, skip them — the full-coverage blue and dotted pattern are a deliberate choice.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
