Quick answer: Honey Chestnut Brown Contact Lenses give a deep, even chocolate brown with a soft feathered edge — brown contact lenses that read like your own eyes, only richer.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a solid, deep brown base with a soft satin finish: no glitter, no visible dot or mesh texture, and no dark outer ring. Color runs evenly center to edge, so there is no hard boundary — the outer edge feathers away instead of drawing a line. On the eye it reads as natural brown, a few shades deeper. Not candy brown, not reddish: cool-to-neutral chocolate.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Warm neutrals. Oatmeal ribbed knit, ecru straight-leg denim, a camel coat, small gold hoops — the deep brown picks up every beige note.

2. Cocoa and cream. A chocolate blazer over a cream silk shirt, brown leather belt, brass hardware. Tone-on-tone brown photographs beautifully in daylight.

3. Clean contrast. White poplin, black trousers, a thin silver watch. Deep brown softens black instead of competing with it.

Where They Fit

Errands, office days, travel, and daylight portraits all suit this shade. It also finishes a party outfit or a low-key cosplay when you want darker eyes without a costume feel.

Everyday Wear: Yes

As everyday colored contacts go, this one is low-effort: bare lashes and lip balm are enough, and it holds up in office light. Where it falls short is drama — for high-contrast eyes, look elsewhere.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? A deep natural chocolate brown with full, even coverage and no red undertone.

What should I wear with them? Warm neutrals, cocoa tones, and cream all flatter; gold jewelry warms the look, silver keeps it clean.

Can I wear them every day? Yes — as brown contact lenses go, this finish stays subtle, though it is not a brightening lens.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
