Quick answer

Halo Lily Smoke Grey Contact Lenses are a milky, low-key grey that adds quiet depth to the iris instead of a costume ring. For grey contact lenses that stay believable in daylight, this smoke shade is an everyday pick.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a warm milk grey base, creamy rather than icy silver. The center stays light and open, then the tone deepens through the middle before fading softly at the outer edge — no hard rim, no dark ring, no glitter. The finish is smooth and diffused, so the grey looks hazy rather than painted on.

What to Wear With Grey

1. Clean daylight neutrals. White cotton tee, ivory knit, ecru denim, ankle boots, small silver hoops.

2. Soft office tailoring. Charcoal blazer, oatmeal trousers, dove grey silk blouse, brushed gold studs.

3. Warm evening layers. Chocolate brown knit, cream slip dress, camel coat, bronze jewelry.

Where They Fit

Errands, office days, brunch, travel photos and low-key nights out. They also suit a party or cosplay look that calls for a soft, otherworldly eye. Flat daylight is the most flattering light.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — this is an everyday pair. It’s subtle enough for work, class and errands, and it doesn’t fight minimal makeup. The one exception is drama: if you want obviously-lensed, high-contrast eyes, milky grey stays too gentle.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? A warm milk grey, light in the center and deeper toward the edge — softly diffused, never silver or icy.

What should I wear with grey contact lenses? Neutrals: white, ivory, ecru, charcoal, oatmeal, dove grey. Silver keeps it cool; gold and bronze warm it up.

Can I wear them every day? Yes. They read as a gentle shift in eye tone, so they fit a normal routine — work, errands, dinner, weekend photos.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
