Quick answer
Grape Frost Violet Purple Contact Lenses are a saturated candy-violet lens with a soft outer fade and no dark rim. They read as Y2K pop-glam, not as a natural eye color.
If you want purple contact lenses that make your eyes the loudest part of a quiet outfit, start here.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is a rich purple, deepest around the pupil, opening into a cooler violet through the center. There is no dotted mesh and no heavy outer ring — the color holds steady across the iris, then loosens into a hazy edge that melts toward the lash line. One clean wash of purple, with no competing graphic underneath.
What to Wear With Purple
1. Frosted denim. Low-rise bootcut jeans, a white baby tee, a cropped denim jacket and a silver chain belt. Thin brows, clear gloss, frosty highlight on the cheekbones.
2. Lilac satin. A lilac slip dress with silver hoops, a silver shoulder bag and platform sandals. Frosted eyeshadow keeps the whole face in the same temperature.
3. Baby pink and patent. A pale pink zip hoodie, a black patent mini and baby-blue butterfly clips. Glossy lips finish it.
Where They Fit
Brunch, class and casual work days, as long as the rest of your makeup stays low-key. They are also built for birthday parties, flash-lit photo booths and Y2K nights.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one condition: keep the face neutral and the purple looks intentional rather than loud. On a morning when you want zero attention on your eyes, reach for something else.
FAQ
What color are these lenses? A saturated candy violet with a cooler center and a soft hazy edge — no dark rim and no dotted pattern.
What should I wear with them? Frosted denim and a white tee is the most Y2K answer; lilac satin with silver is the dressier one.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
