Quick answer
Gloss Pop Emerald Green Contact Lenses are a vivid emerald green lens with a soft charcoal rim, made for Y2K pop-glam styling. If you want green contact lenses that pop in flash photos but still read as an accessory on a Tuesday, this is the pair.
What the Shade Looks Like
In the close-up, the color begins as a rich emerald green around the pupil and holds its depth through the middle of the iris. The finish is a smooth, even wash rather than a dotted mesh, so the green reads as one clean field. At the outer edge it hands off to a soft charcoal-grey rim — a quiet outline, not the main event. The surface is not mirrored, so the green stays the focus.
What to Wear With Green
-
Frosted denim. Low-rise bootcut jeans in faded blue, a white ribbed tank, chunky silver chains, clear lip gloss and a frosty white shadow.
-
Pastel soft-girl. A baby-pink cardigan over a satin slip dress, butterfly clips, pearl studs and a glossy pink lip.
-
Dark cool glam. A black satin slip, a cropped leather jacket, gunmetal hoops and a nude-brown lip.
Where They Fit
Desk days, coffee runs and travel photos work with sheer skin and a thin brow. Save the bigger styling for flash-photo dinners, birthday parties, 2000s-themed nights and cosplay shoots, where the green and the dark rim both read on camera.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, these work as daily wear with light makeup — sheer base, thin brows and gloss. They can feel like a lot beside heavy smoky shadow, so keep the rest of your face quiet for class and the office.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
