Quick answer

Glitter Frost Violet Purple Contact Lenses are a cool, milky violet that blends softly into your natural iris — an easy way to wear the Y2K frosted-eye look without a costume feel.

What the Shade Looks Like

The violet sits deepest at the pupil and lifts as it moves outward, so the center-to-mid blend stays visible instead of reading as one flat block of color. There’s no dark outer rim or hard printed edge; the purple softens at the boundary and lets your own iris depth show through. The finish reads soft-focus rather than glossy, so flash photos bring out that frosted early-2000s glow.

What to Wear With Purple

1. Y2K denim uniform. Low-rise bootcut jeans, a white baby tee, a cropped black cardigan, silver hoops, frosted inner-corner shadow, and purple gloss.

2. Frosted lilac glam. A lavender satin slip dress, a sheer metallic cardigan, silver drops, glossy lips, and cool-toned blush.

3. Soft-grunge contrast. A grey washed denim jacket, a black baby tee, a pleated mini skirt, chunky sneakers, and bare matte skin.

Where They Fit

Party first: birthday dinners, Y2K-themed nights, karaoke, and festival weekends. They also work for cosplay or costume styling when you want violet eyes without a character look.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one note. The violet is soft enough for errands, brunch, and class when your makeup stays minimal; in a conservative office, save them for casual days.

FAQ

Is this violet warm or cool? It leans cool blue-violet with a milky center, so it reads frosty rather than grape.

What pairs well with purple contact lenses? Denim, grey, black, and lavender satin flatter them; silver suits the cool tone better than gold.

Can I wear these every day? Yes, when the rest of your makeup stays quiet — the soft blended edge keeps them from reading heavy.

  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
