Quick Answer

Glass Venice Mocha Brown Contact Lenses are a soft latte brown that fades from a warm center into a deeper mid-brown. They read as your eyes with better light, which is exactly the point.

What the Shade Looks Like

The brown contact lenses in this close-up show a milky latte base, warm at the pupil and deepening toward the outer field. The pupil-to-center transition is visible but gentle, and the mid zone fades instead of stopping at a line. No hard rim, no obvious printed dot or mesh — the edge is felt more than seen, and the surface stays soft rather than glossy. Color covers the iris while staying gentle rather than saturated.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Oatmeal tailoring. An oatmeal wool blazer, a cream silk camisole, ivory trousers, and brushed gold hoops stay warm and tonal.

2. Denim and white cotton. A faded denim jacket, a white ribbed tank, and a thin silver chain cool the latte tone in daylight.

3. Black satin and silver. A black slip dress, one small silver earring, and a sleek bun frame the brown so it looks richer.

Where They Fit

Brunch, the office, a long travel day, dinner with barely-there makeup. At a desk the blend looks like a natural eye, and in soft-light photos it holds just enough depth. It also suits a polished clean girl party or cosplay look.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — this is an easy everyday pair. It works with bare skin, tinted moisturizer, or a full neutral beat, and it does not compete with a strong lip.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? A warm latte brown, soft at the center and deeper at the outer edge, with no hard ring.

What should I wear with them? Oatmeal tailoring, denim with white cotton, or black satin with silver — the eye stays the softest note.

Can I wear them daily? Yes, for work and everyday looks. The blend is quiet by design, so it is not a dramatic lens.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
