Quick answer
Glass Peony Hazel Brown Contact Lenses are a warm caramel-brown pair with a soft, melted edge, and they read as a gentle lift to the eye rather than a costume switch. Think of brown contact lenses that look like a richer version of your own iris in daylight.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is a milk-caramel brown, densest at the center and lighter through the mid iris. Center to edge, the transition is clean and gradual, with no hard stop and no dark rim framing the eye. The surface reads smooth: no dot mesh, no printed fleck, just an even wash of color that dissolves into your own iris. It turns quietly warm indoors and lifts into a clearer caramel in daylight.
What to Wear With Brown
This shade leans neutral-caramel, so warm palettes are easy. Three directions I keep returning to:
-
Cream and camel. Oatmeal knit, camel wool coat, ivory tee, tan belt. Brushed gold hoops echo the warmth without competing with it.
-
Chocolate and espresso. A chocolate slip dress with tonal suede boots, or an espresso blazer over a coffee-brown ribbed tank. Bronze jewelry and a brick lip finish it.
-
Olive and denim. Olive utility jacket, washed blue denim, ecru tee, tan canvas tote. The cool denim lets the warm caramel in the eye do the talking.
Where They Fit
Desk days, brunch, travel and low-light dinners suit this shade, and it holds up in natural-light portraits. Parties or cosplay can borrow it under heavier makeup; the real strength is the everyday, no-makeup-makeup finish.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Everyday wear is a yes: the blend is soft enough for a bare face and stays believable in office light, cafe light and phone selfies. The caveat is simple. For a dramatic shift or a graphic, high-contrast lens, this one is a quiet enhancer instead.
FAQ
What color are these lenses? A warm milk-caramel brown, deepest at the center and lighter through the mid iris, with a soft feathered edge that blends into your own eye color.
What should I wear with them? Cream, camel and oatmeal keep them soft; chocolate and espresso make them richer; olive and denim balance them. Gold and bronze flatter this warmth more than silver.
Can I wear them every day? Yes, for a natural, blended look. If you want a bold graphic effect, choose a lens with a defined rim, because this one has none.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
