Quick answer

Glacier Aqua Blue Contact Lenses give a cool aqua-teal wash: pale at the center, deeper through the middle, framed by a darker teal-blue ring. The effect is vivid but still wearable in daylight.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close, a clear center opens into pale aqua with faint radial streaks, then slides into a deeper teal mid-zone. Fine starburst print lines soften into a subtle dotted mesh blur near the middle, so the blend never looks hard. A defined teal-blue outer ring frames the design with slightly soft edges, and soft crescent highlights catch at the upper-left and lower-right.

On the eye, the pupil is edged by lighter blue that melts into deeper blue mid-iris, while the darker ring defines the outer edge. Coverage is medium, so some natural iris texture still shows. The striations read as delicate feathering rather than heavy dots — like light moving through cold water.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Icy tailoring. Charcoal wool blazer, white poplin shirt, pale grey ribbed knit, brushed silver hoops.

2. Double denim. Light indigo jacket, faded straight jeans, white tank, silver hardware.

3. Midnight polish. Black satin slip dress, thin silver chain, navy velvet blazer, sheer tights.

Where They Fit

These stay polished at a desk when the rest of your face is quiet: muted blazer, nude lip, hair back. They also shine in travel photos, birthday dinners, and party lighting. Cosplay shoots are a good match too — the starburst print holds beside lavender or silver wigs.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one rule: let the blue be the loudest thing you’re wearing. Keep liner thin, skip shimmer, and lean on neutrals, denim, greys, and black. If the outfit is already saturated — bright red or hot pink — the aqua fights it.

FAQ

What color are these blue contact lenses? A crisp aqua blue with icy depth: pale center, deeper teal mid-zone, darker teal-blue outer ring.

What should I wear with them? Cool neutrals — charcoal, white, grey, navy, washed denim — plus silver jewelry.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, with simple makeup and muted colors; on a quiet eye day, a softer grey lens does more.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
