Quick answer
Gentle Lily Fern Green Contact Lenses are a soft fern green with a cooler blue center, and they work as an everyday pair for anyone who wants green contact lenses that look like daylight, not stage makeup.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close, the outer iris carries an even fern green that cools into a blue halo around the pupil, so the center-to-mid transition stays soft rather than blocked in. A fine dotted mesh runs across the whole field — tiny, evenly spaced dots that feather green into blue instead of sitting on top like a printed ring. There’s no hard black rim; the outer edge simply dissolves into the iris line, and the finish stays satin and quiet.
What to Wear With Green Contact Lenses
-
Clean daytime neutral. White cotton tee, ecru wide-leg trousers, tan leather belt, slim gold hoops.
-
Soft autumn contrast. Chocolate ribbed knit, camel wool coat, brushed silver earrings.
-
Evening minimal. Black satin slip dress, black blazer, gunmetal jewelry.
Where They Fit
Desk days, coffee runs, travel and daylight photos. A party or cosplay look works if the outfit leans into the green, but this pair doesn’t need a costume to make sense.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one honest caveat: the green is visible, so it reads as a styling choice. With natural makeup, neutral outfits and daylight, it’s an easy rotation piece.
FAQ
What color are these lenses? A soft fern green over the outer iris with a cooler blue center, blended by a fine dotted mesh.
What should I wear with them? Warm neutrals like white, ecru and camel keep it fresh; chocolate brown, black and cool metals deepen it.
Can I wear them every day? Yes, if you like a visible green shift and no-makeup-makeup styling rather than a subtle tint.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
