Quick Answer

Galaxy Opal Cherry Red Contact Lenses are a saturated red style with a glowing gold-yellow ring around the pupil, best worn as the one bold note in an otherwise calm outfit.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows an unmistakably red field: vivid cherry, holding its saturation across the iris instead of fading toward pink or brown. A warm gold-yellow band rings the pupil and blends outward into the red, so the center-to-mid transition looks softly lit rather than sharply drawn. There is no hard dark outer rim — the red carries to the edge and eases off there, which keeps the overall shape clean and round.

What to Wear With Red Contact Lenses

1. Neutral Daylight. Cream ribbed knit, camel wool coat, straight-leg denim, gold hoops. The gold echoes the center ring while the neutrals let the red speak.

2. Black Tie Edge. Black satin slip dress, or a leather jacket over a plain tee, silver jewelry and slicked-back hair. Deep black makes the red read glossier and more modern.

3. Warm-Toned Statement. Rust silk blouse, burgundy blazer, bronze jewelry, oxblood boots. Red-on-red works when the tones sit at different depths.

Where They Fit

Concerts, Halloween parties, photo shoots and cosplay builds are the obvious scenes. They also land at dinner or on a night out when you want a memorable eye. For office days, think twice — the red gets loud under fluorescent light.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, if you wear them on purpose. Keep skin clear, lips nude, brows brushed, and let the red be the statement. Skip them for interviews or anywhere a stylized eye does not belong.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? They are red contact lenses with a vivid cherry base and a warm gold-yellow ring right around the pupil.

What should I wear with them? Cream, camel and denim keep them wearable, black satin and silver sharpen them, and rust or burgundy builds a full color story.

Can I wear them every day? Yes for casual days and nights out when the rest of your look stays simple, and no for professional settings where a stylized red eye reads too strong.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
