Quick answer
Florence Radiant Crimson Red Contact Lenses are a vivid cherry-crimson pair with a fine dotted mesh and a deeper outer rim, so the eye reads as intentionally red rather than lightly tinted. Start here for red contact lenses with polish.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close, the base is a saturated cherry red with a faint berry undertone, never orange or brick. A clear center sits over the pupil, then a fine grid of dots fans outward and deepens into a richer crimson. The rim frames the iris with a soft edge, so it blends instead of stamping a hard circle. A small bright highlight gives the shade its lit look.
What to Wear With Red Contact Lenses
Red is loud, so decide whether it plays lead or accent.
-
All-black and silver. Black slip dress or leather jacket, silver hoops, chunky chain. Cool metal keeps the red from going sweet.
-
Cream, camel, and gold. Oversized cream knit, camel trench, tan trousers, small gold hoops. Warm neutrals turn the crimson romantic.
-
Washed denim and white. White tank, light-wash jeans, cropped denim jacket, red lip that echoes the lens.
Where They Fit
Concerts, birthday dinners, Halloween and cosplay shoots, and photo sets where the eyes are the point. They also work for Saturday dinner with a black blazer. In an office, save them for casual Fridays.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with a caveat. The shade shifts the whole face, so it lands best with clean makeup: neat brows, a soft base, a bare or matching red lip. For a no-makeup look, keep these for weekends.
FAQ
What color are these lenses? A vivid cherry-crimson red with a dotted mesh, a deeper rim, and a clear center.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
