Quick Answer
Flip Phone Mocha Brown Contact Lenses are a soft mocha brown pair with a fine dotted fade — brown contact lenses that look styled, not switched in, under flash or daylight.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close, the base is a warm milky mocha that deepens to cocoa behind the pupil and lightens through the mid-field. A fine dot pattern covers the surface and thins at the outer edge, so the mocha settles into the iris instead of stopping at a hard line. One small light catch sits on the dome, with no chalky overlay.
What to Wear With Mocha Brown
-
Baby tee and low-rise denim: a white ribbed baby tee, low-rise bootcut jeans, a skinny silver belt and small hoops.
-
Frosted party face: a black mini dress, frosted champagne shadow, glossy lip, thin brows and a butterfly clip.
-
Velour and platforms: a cocoa velour zip hoodie, a cream tank, wide-leg jeans, platform sneakers and gold hoops.
Where They Fit
Desk days, coffee runs and travel days are fair game — the brown stays quiet in daylight. Flash photography is where they earn their keep: birthday dinners, house parties, dancing shots and Y2K nights. They also suit photo styling and cosplay.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, this is an everyday brown. It stays soft in daylight and blends at the edge, so it never reads costume. It just isn’t the pick if you want your natural color left alone.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
