Quick answer

First Light Toffee Brown Contact Lenses are a soft everyday brown with a warm toffee tone and a gentle, ring-free fade. If you want brown contact lenses that warm the eye without announcing themselves, reach for these.

What the Shade Looks Like

Close up, the lens reads as a warm medium brown spread evenly across the iris. Color moves from the center outward in a slow dissolve — no dotted ring, no hard rim, no glare — so the shade looks like natural depth rather than a printed pattern. In daylight it picks up a slightly toasted edge.

What to Wear With Brown

  1. Cream and Camel. A ribbed cream sweater, a camel wool coat and ivory trousers keep everything in one warm family. Add thin gold hoops and a brown leather bag.
  2. Denim and Grey. Washed blue denim, a heather grey tee and a charcoal blazer give the brown a cool counterpoint. Silver hoops finish the office version.
  3. Burgundy and Bronze. A burgundy slip dress or a chocolate silk blouse with bronze jewelry gives the toffee tone a richer evening read.

Where They Fit

These stay in the everyday lane: desk days, coffee runs, weekend errands and travel photos. For a party or a cosplay look, treat them as a low-key base and let bold liner or a wig carry the drama.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, this is a daily-wear shade. The blend is subtle enough for no-makeup mornings, office hours and quick travel snapshots, and it never reads as costume. In very dim yellow light it flattens, so a touch of brown liner helps.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? A warm toffee brown, medium in depth, with a soft fade toward the edge and no dark rim.

What should I wear with them? Warm neutrals work best — cream, camel, oatmeal, chocolate and bronze. Washed denim or grey adds contrast.

Are they everyday-friendly? Yes. The blend stays quiet enough for daily wear, and a little liner adds definition in low light.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
