Quick answer
Eclipse Denim Blue Contact Lenses are a full-coverage blue with a deep, even denim finish — blue contact lenses that look styled, not costumed, and slip into jeans-and-tee dressing.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close, the color reads as one deep blue across the whole iris, densest through the middle and easing outward instead of stopping at a hard edge. There is no dot, mesh or graphic pattern in the field; the surface looks smooth, and light lands as an even finish rather than a sparkle. The outer edge stays soft, so the blue melts into your own lash line in daylight.
What to Wear With Blue
-
Washed denim and white cotton. Light jeans, a crewneck tee, an oversized denim jacket and small silver hoops.
-
Navy tailoring and cream knits. A navy blazer over a cream sweater, tan loafers and gold studs; warm neutrals make the blue read cooler.
-
Charcoal, grey and silver. A charcoal wool coat, a grey knit dress, a silver chain and black boots, so the blue is the only color in the frame.
Where They Fit
Weekday lens as much as weekend. It holds up on video calls, looks intentional in travel photos and gives a plain black dress something to work with at dinner. For no-makeup makeup eyes, keep the lid bare and curl your lashes. A party or cosplay moment? A smoky lid works too.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one condition. Full-coverage blue is a visible choice, so it works best when the rest of your face stays quiet: bare lids, groomed brows, a tinted balm. Heavy shadow and bright lipstick compete with it.
FAQ
What color are these blue contact lenses? A deep denim blue with full, even coverage; the middle is richest and the edge stays soft, with no hard ring.
What should I wear with them? Cool neutrals — light denim, white, cream, navy, charcoal, grey. Silver suits the tone; gold works with neutral clothing.
Do they show a pattern up close? No visible dots or mesh. The blue runs smooth across the iris with a soft, undefined edge and no dark rim.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
