Quick Answer

Dusk Lily Green Contact Lenses are a muted olive-green pair with a fine dot mesh and a softly deepened edge. If you want green contact lenses that read as a quiet shift in your eye color instead of a loud statement, this is the pair I keep reaching for.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, the center is sheer and almost translucent, letting the natural pupil show through, then the tone deepens into muted forest green toward the edge. The color is built from a fine dot mesh rather than a flat wash, so the blend stays soft and no hard line appears. There’s a small catch of light across the surface in the photo, and the outer edge stays green, just a shade darker, which keeps the eye looking round and open.

What to Wear With Green

Green sits between warm and cool, so neutrals do most of the work.

  1. Oatmeal and cream: a linen shirt, ecru wide-leg trousers, a canvas tote, and small brushed-gold hoops. Warm fabric pulls the olive forward.
  2. Charcoal and black: a black turtleneck, dark grey denim, a leather belt, and silver jewelry. Cool tones push the green deeper and slightly sharper.
  3. Denim and white: a white tee, a light-wash denim jacket, and a slim gold chain. This is the combination I wear most.

Where They Fit

They suit a normal workday, a long travel day, brunch photos, and anything shot in real daylight, since the mesh blends best in natural light. For a party or a cosplay look you can lean in with deeper liner and a swept-up hairstyle, but nothing about the design demands a costume.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — this is an everyday pair. The tone is muted and the transition gradual, so it works with bare lids and a swipe of tinted balm. It’s less suited to anyone who wants a bright, unmistakable green.

FAQ

What color are these green contact lenses? A muted olive green that deepens into forest green at the edge, with a sheer center that lets your own iris show through.

What should I wear with them? Neutrals work best: oatmeal, cream, ecru, black, charcoal, and denim. Brushed gold warms the green; silver makes it cooler and deeper.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, for everyday and office settings. If you want a vivid green statement for a night out, a brighter, more saturated pair will do more for you.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
