Quick answer

Dusk Camellia Grey Contact Lenses are a soft, smoky pair of grey contact lenses that read as your own eye color turned cooler. If you want definition without drama, start here.

What the Shade Looks Like

The base is a muted charcoal grey printed as a fine dotted mesh. The pattern starts at the pupil edge and spreads outward, dots thinning as they go, so the center stays dense and the outer field turns hazy. There is no hard black ring — the edge feathers into your natural iris. Daylight lifts it toward smoke; evening pushes it toward graphite. For grey contact lenses, this is the quiet end: rainy September sky, not chrome.

What to Wear With Grey

1. Washed denim and oatmeal. Light-wash denim jacket, white tee, oatmeal cardigan, small silver hoops.

2. Black layers, soft texture. Black turtleneck, gray wool coat, matte leather bag, brushed silver jewelry.

3. Cool tailoring. Dove grey blazer, slate blue shirt, cream silk scarf, silver studs.

Where They Fit

Work meetings, video calls, weekend errands, travel days, low-key dinners. It photographs cleanly in daylight and stays cool-toned under warm restaurant light. Parties and cosplay are possible styling scenes, but the grey never needs a costume.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, this is an everyday lens. It looks its cleanest with bare or minimal makeup, because the dotted grey blends instead of announcing itself. If you want a high-contrast change in bright sun, this one will feel soft.

FAQ

What color are these lenses, exactly? A muted charcoal grey with a fine dot mesh and no hard outer ring — smoke in daylight, graphite indoors.

What should I wear with grey contact lenses? Cool neutrals are easiest: denim, oatmeal, dove grey, black, slate blue. Silver keeps the mood consistent; camel or rust adds contrast.

Can I wear them every day? Yes — with no-makeup makeup, office looks, and casual photos. They only feel subtle if you were after a bold stage effect.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
