Quick answer
Dune Olive Green Contact Lenses are a warm olive-green pair with a fine dotted mesh and a soft, fading outer edge. The effect reads lived-in in daylight, not graphic.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close the pattern starts dark — an olive-brown field around the pupil that softens instead of cutting — then opens into lighter khaki green across the iris. The finish is a fine dotted mesh, closer to a sand-grain print than a solid wash, and the outer edge simply fades instead of drawing a dark ring.
What to Wear With Green
-
Cream knits and camel. Ribbed cream sweater, camel wool coat, tan leather bag, small gold hoops.
-
Cool grey and denim. Grey wool trousers, an oversized denim jacket, a plain white tee, brushed silver jewelry.
-
Olive on olive. A washed olive overshirt, a cream tank, dark brown boots, a matte nude lip.
Where They Fit
Daytime first: a desk, a lecture hall, a long train ride, natural-light photos where flash flattens everything. Weekend brunch, a museum afternoon and a workday video call all work in their favor. For an evening event, keep makeup soft and let the green be the accent. They also suit a low-effort party or cosplay look built on earth tones.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes — this is an easy everyday green, because the dotted mesh and soft outer fade keep it from looking loud against bare skin and minimal makeup. Where it struggles is a heavy black wing or a bold lip, which compete with the green.
FAQ
What color are these green contact lenses? Warm olive green — brown-olive at the pupil, lighter khaki toward the edge, dotted rather than solid.
What should I wear with olive green lenses? Cream, camel and gold warm the shade up; grey, faded denim and silver cool it down, so pick one side and stay there.
Are they subtle enough for every day? For most days, yes. The dotted pattern and fading edge keep them soft in daylight while still shifting the mood of your eyes.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
