Quick Answer

Dream Static Periwinkle blue contact lenses are a frosted violet-blue pair with a deep indigo center and a soft gloss finish. They read glassy in daylight and glossier under a flash.

What the Shade Looks Like

Depth comes first in the close-up. Around the pupil the color sits deep indigo-navy, then opens into a frosted periwinkle blue with a violet lean through the middle. A fine dot-matrix mesh runs across the field, so the blue looks screened and airy rather than poured on. A glossy highlight catches the light low in the lens, and the outer edge fades gently — no hard rim, no black ring.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Baby tee and low-rise denim. A cropped white tee, bootcut jeans, a thin leather belt, and small silver hoops. Washed denim makes the periwinkle pop.

2. Frosty glam. A silvery slip dress or pale blue satin mini with frosted eyeshadow, glossy lips, thin brows, and chrome studs.

3. Icy monochrome. White wide-leg trousers, a baby-blue knit, a pearl choker, and silver flats. Silver flatters the frost.

Where They Fit

Good for class, coffee runs, desk days, and travel days when you want one cool detail and nothing loud. Nights out, flash photos, butterfly clips, and soft doll-style cosplay looks are their natural habitat.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one caveat: keep the rest of your makeup simple. A bare lid, a swipe of gloss, and thin brows let the frosty blue carry the look, so save heavy liner for photos.

FAQ

What color are these blue contact lenses? A cool frosted violet-blue — deep indigo at the center, periwinkle through the middle, fading softly at the edge.

What should I wear with them? Denim and baby tees, a silvery slip dress, or white-and-pale-blue monochrome with silver jewelry.

Are they everyday lenses? Yes, when your makeup stays simple — they read as a styling detail rather than an eye-color switch.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
