Dewdrop Slate — charcoal grey colored contacts, slate grey contacts, grey‑black contacts

A cool, misty blend of slate grey and inky black, Dewdrop Slate reads like early‑morning fog pooled at the iris. The design centers on a soft, muted grey core that subtly brightens the pupil area, then diffuses into a fine, dotted halo of charcoal that creates a smooth, smoky gradient toward a gentle, dark outer ring. The overall texture resembles tiny dew‑kissed fibers—matte and refined rather than glossy—so the eye appears naturally deepened with a modern, understated edge. From close-up the layered grey striations and delicate pixel-like granulation give the gaze a quiet dimensionality; from a distance the color reads as an elegant, neutral grey‑black that enhances eye definition without overpowering the face.

Dewdrop Slate is ideal for styling moments that call for minimalist sophistication and subtle drama. For everyday urban wear it lends an effortlessly polished look that sharpens the eye area and complements cool‑toned wardrobes—think tailored neutrals, leather jackets, and structured outerwear. In editorial and runway contexts the lens provides a refined, cinematic silhouette that photographs with soft shadow and depth, making it a favorite for moody beauty spreads and monochrome fashion stories. For nightlife and evening events its smoky quality reads intriguingly mysterious under low light, pairing beautifully with smokey liners, matte lips, and metallic accessories. The understated darkness also makes Dewdrop Slate a natural choice for character and cosplay styles that require a grounded, enigmatic presence—detectives, noir heroines, and modern mystics whose gaze should feel both real and subtly intensified.

Styling suggestions: pair these grey‑black contacts with cool, desaturated palettes—slates, charcoals, and icy blues—for a cohesive, contemporary look, or contrast them with warm caramel makeup and bronze accents to create a striking, editorial juxtaposition. Keep skin finishes natural or softly matte to emphasize the lens’s muted depth, and experiment with soft shadowing rather than heavy liner to retain a refined, wearable effect. Whether you want to sharpen everyday polish, anchor a moody fashion story, or add a quietly powerful detail to a character build, Dewdrop Slate colored contacts deliver a sleek, modern gaze that reads both sophisticated and mysteriously chic.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
