Quick Answer

Daybreak Cocoa Brown Contact Lenses are a full-coverage deep brown pair with no rim and no stamped pattern — the quiet pick for brown contact lenses that read like your own iris.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close, the whole iris is one deep cocoa brown, even from the pupil out to the edge — no lighter middle, no second tone.

The edge is the tell: no black outline, no hard circle. Up close it reads smooth, with no stamped dots and only a faint catch of light.

What to Wear With Cocoa Brown

1. Soft neutrals. A cream ribbed knit, ecru denim and brushed gold hoops — warm tones keep the brown believable.

2. Cool tailoring. A slate blazer over a white tee, charcoal trousers and small silver studs — cool grey makes the brown read deeper.

3. Evening warmth. A chocolate satin slip, an oatmeal cardigan and a bronze cuff, with clear brow gel and a nude-brown lip.

Where They Fit

Desk to dinner, mostly. They photograph cleanly in daylight and travel well when you want one pair in the bag. Parties and cosplay are possible, but this is the quiet choice there.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Full coverage doesn’t have to mean loud. The even wash and soft edge keep it believable in daylight, so it suits work, errands and low-key dinners. Skip it if you want a visible rim or a two-tone gradient.

FAQ

What color are they, exactly? A deep, full-coverage cocoa brown — dark from center to edge, with no lighter middle and no rim.

What do I wear with brown contact lenses? Warm neutrals like cream, camel and chocolate keep it soft; slate grey makes the brown read deeper.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, for most days — the coverage is even and daylight-friendly, and best when you don’t want an obvious lens effect.

Contact Lens Care Guidelines

  • We recommend a rub and rinse before soaking soft lenses for a minimum of 6 hours in their container.
  • Don't wear contact lenses overnight.
  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

  • Replace your contact lens case every two to three months.
  • Take out your contacts if they are bothering you.
  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
