Quick Answer

Dawn Paris Brown Contact Lenses are a vivid amber-brown pair that makes brown contact lenses look softly framed. They feel polished, not costume-like.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a clear center bordered by warm amber-brown, deepening into darker brown. A fine dotted halftone pattern crosses the iris, and a defined dark rim frames the edge. A white highlight sits upper-left; on the eye, natural catchlights keep the amber tone lively.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Camel + Cream + Gold: Camel wool coat, cream silk camisole, ivory trousers, brushed gold hoops.

2. Olive + Denim + Silver: Olive utility jacket, faded denim shirt, black jeans, antique silver earrings.

3. Navy + Blush + Pearl: Navy blazer, blush tee, gray trousers, pearl studs, burgundy lip.

Where They Fit

These suit brunch, office days, travel photos, parties, and cosplay when you want a natural amber-brown base rather than a cartoon color. Keep the rest of the face simple and let the lens lead.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, I’d wear these for everyday looks with tinted moisturizer, mascara, and a warm neutral lip. They work less well on bare-face days or with very cool-toned outfits, where the saturated amber-brown pulls more attention. In daylight the dotted texture blends softly; indoors the golden center reads warmer.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? Warm amber-brown with a lighter golden center and a darker rim; the dotted mesh softens the transition.

What should I pair with them? Camel, cream, olive, navy, and blush all flatter this shade; gold warms it, silver cools it.

Are they good for everyday wear? Yes, with light makeup and warm neutrals; skip them on bare-face days if you want subtle.

  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
