Quick Answer

Dawn Blush Pink Contact Lenses are a deep, dusky pink lens with a fine dot mesh that settles softly against the natural iris. The effect is depth, not candy color.

What the Shade Looks Like

The base is a smoky rose that leans mulberry indoors. The pigment sits as a fine, grainy veil, darkest near the pupil and slightly warmer across the middle of the iris.

At the outer edge the dots loosen into a soft halo, so there is no hard ring. The shine in the photo is a wet catchlight from the light, not glitter or printed sparkle.

What to Wear With Pink

Keep the rest of the look low-contrast and let the lens carry it.

1. Soft neutral daytime. Oatmeal knit, camel trench, cream denim, brushed gold hoops, brown mascara, bare lip.

2. Cool evening tones. Dusty mauve slip dress, charcoal blazer, silver jewelry, sheer berry stain.

3. Weekend white and denim. White ribbed tee, faded jeans, taupe suede, a swipe of cream blush.

Where They Fit

A lens for real daylight: a Tuesday at the desk, a long brunch, an airport morning, a soft-lit portrait. It also works as a styling extra for a party or a cosplay shoot when you want darker, glassier eyes.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — with one rule: keep the rest of your face soft. The mesh stays subtle and the edge fades, so it flatters minimal makeup and soft neutrals. If you want bright doll-pink or a heavy liner eye, this pair is not it.

FAQ

Is it really pink, or does it look brown? Pink, but a deep smoky one. Indoors it can read plum; in daylight the rosy tone shows across the iris.

What should I wear with pink contact lenses like these? Neutrals: oatmeal, cream, camel, taupe, faded denim, plus gold for warmth or silver for coolness.

Does the pattern show up close? Yes. The fine mesh is visible near the mirror, and it gives the lens its soft blurred edge.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
