Quick Answer

Crystal Haze Grey Contact Lenses is a pigmented grey with a lit, misty center and a soft blended edge. Among grey contact lenses, it stays smoky and editorial rather than icy or cartoonish.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a cool ash-grey base, lighter through the middle and denser toward the outer ring. Fine dots form a soft mesh across the surface, thinning near the pupil so the center-to-edge shift stays gradual. There is no hard drawn rim; the edge dissolves into a blurred slate band. A gentle sheen over the pattern gives a lit, misty finish rather than a flat grey film.

What to Wear With Grey

1. Cool Tailoring — grey wool blazer, white poplin shirt, dark straight denim, brushed silver hoops.

2. Soft Weekend — oatmeal knit, faded blue jeans, grey suede boots, pearl studs.

3. Evening Smoke — slate satin slip dress, black leather jacket, gunmetal jewelry, berry lip.

Where They Fit

Office days in grey tailoring, travel photos, and dinners where you want your eyes to hold the frame. They also suit parties and cosplay or costume shoots when you want a cool gaze instead of bright color.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes — with one note. This is an easy everyday lens when your closet leans neutral or cool, because the grey blends into that palette. Skip it with warm rust, orange, or heavy gold, where it can look washed out.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
