Quick answer

Crystal Breeze Azure Blue Contact Lenses are an electric azure blue with a soft aqua core and a crisp cobalt rim. If you want blue contact lenses that stay vivid in daylight and in photos, this is the pair I reach for.

What the Shade Looks Like

The center stays clear, then a pale aqua haze blooms outward. Fine blue dots build a dense mesh across the mid-zone, shot through with tiny darker specks that read like a starfield rather than a flat block of color. A glossy highlight sits low in the lens and holds its orientation, so the surface keeps a wet shine. The rim is a saturated cobalt band with a defined edge, and that crisp ring is what makes the blue pop against skin instead of blurring into it.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Crisp white and cool silver. A white cotton poplin shirt, pale denim, thin silver hoops, and a chain necklace. The cool palette lets the azure do the talking.

2. Ink black and gunmetal. A black satin slip dress, a matte leather jacket, and gunmetal earrings. Best for evening photos and low light.

3. Cream and camel. A cream ribbed knit under a camel wool coat with gold-tone jewelry. Warm neutrals make the cool blue look intentional — my favorite way to style blue contact lenses in fall.

Where They Fit

Weekend coffee runs, gallery afternoons, travel days, and dinner reservations all work. For parties or cosplay, add a dark liner and let the gloss catch the light.

Everyday Wear: Yes

This shade works for daily wear when the rest of your makeup stays quiet: one coat of mascara, a sheer lip, brushed brows. Skip it on days you want to look natural — this blue is meant to be noticed.

  • We recommend a rub and rinse before soaking soft lenses for a minimum of 6 hours in their container.
  • Don't wear contact lenses overnight.
  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

  • Replace your contact lens case every two to three months.
  • Take out your contacts if they are bothering you.
  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
