Quick answer

Cotton Petal Pink Contact Lenses are a quiet everyday pair: a deep brown center that fades into a soft pink-tinged edge. For pink contact lenses that whisper instead of shout, start here.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a deep cocoa brown holding through the center at full coverage. Toward the edge the color loosens into a hazy, pink-leaning blur instead of a crisp line. There is no dotted mesh to pick out and no defined outer rim; the surface reads smooth and powdery in daylight. Up close you see brown, and at arm’s length it softens to rose-brown.

What to Wear With Pink

1. Quiet neutrals. Cream ribbed knit, ivory denim, tan sandals, thin gold hoops. Warm knits lift the brown base.

2. Cool contrast. Charcoal blazer, white tee, grey denim, silver studs. Grey makes the rosy tone look sharper.

3. Soft romantic. Dusty rose satin slip, oatmeal cardigan, clear balm. Pearl studs keep it pretty, never costume.

Where They Fit

Daylight, mostly: office mornings, coffee runs, brunch, travel photos, plus a soft party look or an easy cosplay moment. Not the pair for bold, high-contrast eyes.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one note. The blend is soft and the edge diffused, so lash and lip makeup is enough to frame them at work or on errands. The visible color is a deep rose-brown, so you get depth up close rather than pop.

FAQ

Are these really pink? The center is brown and the outer field leans pink, so the styling reads as a muted rose-brown — pink shadow, not pink paint.

What pairs best with them? Cream, ivory and oatmeal flatter the warmth; charcoal and grey sharpen it. Gold for warm, silver for cool.

Can I wear them daily? Yes — these pink contact lenses stay casual at work and on errands, and they photograph quietly in daylight.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
