Green Contact Lenses That Finish the Look
Green contact lenses, five minutes before a shoot: wig pinned, choker on, one last mirror check. The center starts deep, opens into a bright matcha green mid-field, then closes with a firm dark grey-black rim — a defining edge that keeps the green from bleeding into a busy con hall.
Built for Chainsaw Man Cosplay
Building a Reze cosplay contacts set? The matcha tone sits close to her muted green eye art without going neon. The same shade carries a Himeno cosplay lens, a Kobeni cosplay contacts look, and Quanxi or Aki Hayakawa cosplay contact lenses where a cooler green reads under pale light. The fine dot-mesh surface keeps color even, so close-ups look painted rather than glittery — no sparkle, no grey cast.
Convention Lighting and Photos
Con halls mix tungsten, LED and camera flash, three color temperatures in one frame. Green with a dark rim survives that: the edge stays readable in group shots, and tight portraits keep their depth. If your photographer leans on flash, ask them to shoot slightly off-axis so the rim reads as a clean circle.
Makeup, Outfit and Party Styling
Style the eye warm: brown mascara, taupe or soft olive shadow, a light hand with black liner. Set the under-eye well, because flash shows everything. With a white collar, black straps and a choker it completes the Chainsaw Man silhouette, and it works just as easily for a party or costume makeup night when you want green without a full character build.
From One Cosplayer to Another
“I shot a full con day in these and the green never went grey under indoor light — the dark edge is what sells it in photos.” — a note from our test shoot.
CCUS EYEWEAR makes character-first lenses for cosplay, party and costume looks.
Care reminder: handle with clean, dry hands, rinse and store in fresh lens solution, keep the case clean, and never share lenses.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
