Quick Answer
Comet Lotus Porcelain White Contact Lenses are a frosted porcelain white lens with a fine dot mesh and no hard outer rim — Y2K frost, not a drawn-on circle.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close, the base is bright porcelain white and stays white through the center, with no second color hiding in the middle. A dense, even dot mesh gives the white an airbrushed look instead of flat paint. The pattern thins toward the edge, so the rim is simply where the mesh stops, not a dark ring. Nothing here is glossy or chrome; the finish reads closer to frosted glass.
What to Wear With White
-
Y2K Day Denim — low-rise bootcut jeans in a faded grey-blue wash, a white baby tee, thin silver hoops, a butterfly clip.
-
Frosted Night Out — a silver-grey satin slip dress, frosty champagne eyeshadow, glossy skin, clear gloss.
-
Clean Snow Minimal — an oversized white button-down, cream trousers, a black leather shoulder bag, matte skin.
Where They Fit
These are flash-photo lenses: the flat white mesh shows up in birthday-dinner pictures, group shots, and digital-camera flash photos. They also work for cosplay — icy characters, ghosts, frost-themed anime — because the white stays clean on camera. Save them for weekends and photo nights rather than a regular office day.
Everyday Wear: Yes
With bare, glossy skin and simple denim, the milky white feels like an accessory instead of a costume. It stops working when the face gets heavy: strong blush, thick liner, and a bold lip compete with the white.
FAQ
What color are they, exactly? A true porcelain white over a fine dot mesh, with no secondary color and no dark outer ring.
What pairs with white contact lenses? Cool tones: faded denim, silver-grey satin, white cotton, silver jewelry. Warm rusts fight the icy finish.
Can I wear them daily? Yes, if your everyday makeup stays light — save the frosty glam face for evenings and photos.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
