Quick Answer
Cobalt Wisteria Blue Contact Lenses are a vividly pigmented blue pair with a bright aqua center and a deeper cobalt edge. They are for anyone who wants blue that shows up in photos without going costume.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is a saturated cornflower blue that deepens toward cobalt at the outside. Around the pupil the tone lifts into an icy aqua, so there is a clear light-to-dark shift across the lens.
A fine dotted mesh runs over the surface, giving the color a soft printed texture rather than a flat wash. A gentle highlight sits near the top, and the outer rim closes with a denser cobalt ring and the faintest whisper of violet at the very edge.
What to Wear With Blue
1. White and Pale Denim. A white poplin shirt, light-wash straight jeans, silver hoops, and bone sneakers keep the blue cool and clean.
2. Black Satin and Leather. A black slip dress, a leather jacket, gunmetal jewelry, and sheer tights make the blue the only bright note.
3. Lilac and Pearl Grey. A lavender knit, a grey wool blazer, and pearl earrings echo the violet edge.
Where They Fit
Weekend brunch, workdays, parties, and photo shoots all suit this shade. It also reads clearly in cosplay styling against pale hair or silver accessories.
Everyday Wear: Yes
This is a bold blue, so everyday means everyday for someone who likes visible color. It works with quiet makeup and neutral clothing and feels like too much for a bare-faced look.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
