Quick answer
Cloudbreak Azure Blue Contact Lenses are a saturated blue lens with a clear center-to-edge gradient — and yes, they work as everyday blue contact lenses, not costume color.
What the Shade Looks Like
The base is a true azure blue. A bright, open center shifts into a deeper blue through the middle and softens into a darker edge, with no black rim and no printed mesh, speckle or graphic. The border blends rather than stamping a ring on the iris.
What to Wear With Blue
Keep the styling quiet so the blue does the talking.
-
White and ivory. Cotton tee, ivory denim, cream knit, canvas sneakers, thin silver hoops. Pale neutrals let the azure carry the look.
-
Camel and gold. Oatmeal linen, camel wool, tan suede, brushed gold, warm brown mascara. The warmth softens the cool blue.
-
Navy monochrome. Navy blazer, chambray, grey wool, denim on denim, pewter jewelry. The easiest way to make the blue feel deliberate.
Where They Fit
Desk days, coffee runs, weekend travel and open-shade portraits. They also finish a cool-eyed cosplay look or a party outfit with a slip dress.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes — with bare lashes, groomed brows and a nude lip this looks clean and modern. Save rust and heavy bronze for high-drama days, when the blue would have to compete.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
