Quick answer

Cloud Blossom Grey Contact Lenses are a deep charcoal-grey pair with a soft dotted edge, and they read as an everyday grey rather than a dramatic costume lens.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, the lens is dark almost all the way across: a black-grey core that holds its density, then a fine halftone dot pattern that softens the outer edge. Nothing ends in a hard drawn circle, and there is no separate rim line — the darker coverage simply fades out. The finish leans matte, with no glitter and no printed graphics.

What to Wear With Grey

1. Soft neutrals. A heathered grey knit, ivory tank, camel trench and straight-leg denim, with small silver studs and a leather watch. Tone-on-tone keeps the eye the darkest point in the frame.

2. Black on black. A black slip dress or a ribbed black tee with tailored trousers, brushed silver hoops, and a low bun. Matte fabrics beat anything shiny here.

3. Cool tailoring. A charcoal wool blazer, pale blue poplin shirt and white sneakers. Silver reads cleaner with this grey, gold runs warmer — pick one and stay with it.

Where They Fit

Easy for work days, coffee runs, travel and dinner photos. They also suit a party or a cosplay-adjacent look when you want a darker, deeper eye, though the styling is entirely yours.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one condition: keep the rest of the makeup quiet. Soft brown liner, curled lashes and a balm are enough. Heavy black shadow tips a lens this dense toward costume.

FAQ

Are these grey or black? They sit between the two — a black-grey core with a dotted grey fade, darker than a classic smoke grey.

What should I wear with grey contact lenses? Grey, ivory, charcoal, denim and black all work. Keep metal to one family and let the eyes carry the contrast.

Can I wear them every day? Yes, if you like a dark, defined eye with light makeup. If you want barely-there, choose a lighter grey.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
