Quick Answer

Cloud Blossom Azure Blue Contact Lenses give the iris a clear, soft azure wash that brightens the eye without a hard ring — blue contact lenses that look quiet instead of theatrical.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a clean azure blue through the center and mid iris, then a clear transition where the color lightens and feathers toward the natural edge. No dot matrix, no mesh, no painted rim. The surface is satin-matte with almost no gloss, so light reads through it rather than sitting on top. With no dark outer ring, the blue dissolves into your own iris line instead of outlining it.

What to Wear With Blue

1. Oatmeal and Light Denim. Cream ribbed knit, straight light-wash jeans, tan loafers, small gold hoops. Warm neutrals make the blue the only cool note in the frame.

2. Navy on Navy. A navy silk slip or blazer over a white tee, tonal layers, brushed silver jewelry, black ankle boots.

3. Dove Grey Tailoring. Grey wool trousers, a white poplin shirt, an ivory trench, pearl studs. Clean and office-ready.

Where They Fit

Desk days, weekend errands, airport photos, a friend’s birthday. Daylight portraits read bright and watercolor; warm indoor light pulls them deeper and cooler. Styled with graphic liner they can go party or cosplay, but the color already carries on its own.

Everyday Wear: Yes

These work for daily wear. Keep makeup light — taupe shadow, soft brown lash line, mascara — and the blue looks like your own eyes on a good day. Heavy black liner turns it graphic fast.

FAQ

What color are these blue contact lenses? A clear azure blue at the center that fades softly outward, with no dark rim and no visible dot pattern.

What should I wear with them? Neutrals first: cream, oatmeal, navy, dove grey, plus one metal, silver or gold.

Are they subtle enough for everyday? Yes in daylight with minimal eye makeup; less so in warm low light, where the blue reads stronger.

  • We recommend a rub and rinse before soaking soft lenses for a minimum of 6 hours in their container.
  • Don't wear contact lenses overnight.
  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.
  • Don't use saline solution for contact lens cleaning or disinfection.
  • Replace your contact lens case every two to three months.
  • Take out your contacts if they are bothering you.
  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
