Quick answer
Chrome Graphite Grey Contact Lenses are a smoky graphite grey with a fine dotted mesh and a soft blended edge. These grey contact lenses bring Y2K pop-glam eyes that still look polished by day.
What the Shade Looks Like
The close-up shows a deep graphite center opening into a cooler lighter grey across the middle. A fine dotted mesh covers that mid field, then fades at the edge — no hard rim, just a soft blend. The sparkle in the photo is studio light on the surface, not printed gloss.
What to Wear With Grey
-
Low-rise denim and a baby tee. Grey-wash low-rise jeans, a white ribbed baby tee, silver hoops, butterfly clips and platform sneakers.
-
Charcoal satin and silver mesh. A charcoal slip dress over a sheer silver mesh top with sheer black tights and gunmetal jewelry.
-
Frost and a pale knit. Pale grey ribbed knit, blue-grey cargos, a baby-blue bag; frosty silver shadow and clear gloss.
Where They Fit
Coffee runs, class and office days work because the graphite stays deep and neutral. Nights out, photo booths and cosplay styling are where the flash-photo energy shows.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, these are everyday lenses with denim, black, white and silver. They tip into costume only when heavy liner and a full frost lid arrive together, so let the eyes stay the focus.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
