Quick Answer

Chrome Gloss Cocoa Brown Contact Lenses put a dense espresso center on a lighter cocoa mid-iris, with a soft blend and no hard outer rim — dark, after-hours brown contact lenses, not a costume look.

What the Shade Looks Like

The center holds the story: a dense espresso brown that loosens into lighter cocoa across the mid-iris, so the eye reads deep and even rather than graphic.

No dark ring closes the design and no sparkle sits on the surface. The two browns blur into each other instead of meeting at a line, and coverage stays full and even.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Frosted Y2K mall crawl. Low-rise bootcut denim, a ribbed baby tee, a cropped zip hoodie, thin silver hoops and clear gloss.

2. Flash-photo night. Chocolate satin slip dress, sheer black cardigan, layered gold chains, cocoa liner.

3. Soft neutral daytime. Cream ribbed knit, camel wool blazer, espresso leather bag, brushed gold studs.

Where They Fit

Daily first: classes, desk days, errands and weekends when you want deeper-looking eyes without full glam. They also suit birthday dinners, concerts and party photos, or a cosplay idea that needs a strong eye and no wig.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, this is a daily shade. The browns sit close to a natural deep-eye depth, so they read as definition rather than a color project. Skip them for tight close-ups in hard daylight, where the solid center shows most.

FAQ

What color is this shade? These brown contact lenses run a deep espresso center into lighter cocoa brown, with no dark outer rim.

What do I wear with them? Low-rise denim and silver for Y2K, chocolate satin and gold at night, cream knits for work.

Can I wear them daily? Yes — they suit everyday wear, though a lighter brown looks subtler in bright sun.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
