Quick answer

Chrome Frost Purple Contact Lenses are a cool plum-violet pair with a smooth wash and a soft edge. They read playful and polished, and they sit best with glossy, frost-lit Y2K makeup.

What the Shade Looks Like

In the close-up, the purple sits evenly across the center and mid-iris, then deepens a little at the outer edge without a hard black rim. I can’t see a dotted mesh, speckled print, or mirrored highlight, so the surface looks smooth and softly pigmented instead. Under flash it lifts toward true violet; in indoor light it quiets down into plum. The frost in this styling comes from makeup, not a metallic lens finish.

What to Wear With Purple

  1. Y2K denim: lilac baby tee, low-rise dark jeans, thin silver chain, small patent bag.
  2. Glossy after-dark: white ribbed tank, black satin mini, silver hoops, berry gloss.
  3. Soft grunge daylight: oversized grey hoodie, faded black cargos, frosted shadow, bare lip.

Where They Fit

Best for a birthday dinner, a mall afternoon, a mirror-selfie session, or a party where the eye makeup is the main event. They also work as a playful cosplay or photo accent without a full character look.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, these purple contact lenses wear well for daytime when the rest stays clean. Keep the base light, add glossy lips and a soft thin brow, and save the frosty highlight and flash styling for nights out.

FAQ

What color are these purple contact lenses?
They read as a cool plum-violet across the center and mid-iris, deepening slightly at the outer edge. There’s no hard black ring or dotted pattern visible.

What should I wear with purple contact lenses?
Start with low-rise denim, a lilac or white top, and silver jewelry. For evening, add a black satin mini, glossy lips, and a frosty highlight at the inner corner.

Are they easy to wear every day?
Yes, with simple makeup and small jewelry. For work or class keep the styling quiet; for parties and flash photos, lean into gloss and shine.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
