Quick Answer

Cherry Blossom Mist Pink Contact Lenses are a misty petal pink that blends into the iris instead of sitting on top of it. Verdict: gentle definition, not costume.

What the Shade Looks Like

The base is a pale, cool cherry blossom pink — petals, not bubblegum. A fine dot-mesh pattern builds outward and tightens toward the edge, so the outer ring picks up a gray-lilac shadow. Near the pupil the texture turns foggy and diffused, with no hard start line, and the outer edge feathers rather than stopping sharp. A faint sheen catches light along the lower curve of the eye. On brown eyes it reads cooler and softer; on lighter eyes it flushes pink without looking flat.

What to Wear With Pink

  1. Cream and denim. Oatmeal ribbed knit, straight light-wash jeans, a canvas tote, brushed gold hoops, nude flats.
  2. Tonal tailoring. A dusty rose blazer, white tee, gray wool trousers, silver jewelry, taupe shoulder bag.
  3. Quiet evening. Black slip dress, matte leather jacket, pearl studs, sheer tights, patent ankle boots.

Where They Fit

Workdays, coffee runs, weekend travel, wedding-guest duty, and soft-light portraits. Also fine for a low-key party or cosplay look as long as the rest of the styling stays simple — this is not a stage lens.

Everyday Wear: Yes

This is a genuine everyday pair. Wear it to work, class, or errands with no-makeup makeup: tinted moisturizer, cream blush, one coat of brown mascara. Skip it when you want high-contrast liner or smokey shadow, which swallows the mist.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
