Quick answer
Champagne Hour Chocolate Contact Lenses are a soft-glam brown lens with a deep chocolate wash that blends into the iris instead of sitting on top of it. Polished for weddings and camera-ready evenings, still easy on a Tuesday.
What the Shade Looks Like
Up close the color is a rich dark chocolate, closer to melted dark chocolate than honey. Around the pupil it opens into a warmer, lighter center, then deepens through the mid iris. There is no dark outer ring and no hard boundary: the brown fades softly outward. The finish is diffused, not glossy, with no mirror-like highlight. Daylight reads warm; evening turns it deeper.
What to Wear With Chocolate
-
Champagne and cashmere — a champagne satin slip dress or an ivory cashmere knit, brushed gold hoops, glossy nude lip.
-
Toffee tailoring — camel blazer, cream silk camisole, dark brown trousers, slim gold chain, taupe shadow.
-
Bronze smoke — chocolate slip skirt or little black dress, rose-gold jewelry, bronze shimmer along the lash line.
Where They Fit
Bridal portraits, engagement dinners, prom photos and warm studio light suit this shade. It also holds up on a workday, a coffee run or a travel day. Cosplay and retro glam work too, as long as the makeup stays soft.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one honest note: these chocolate contact lenses are subtle enough for work and brunch when you want a groomed, softly defined eye. If you want a bold color pop, this will feel quiet.
FAQ
Are chocolate contact lenses brown or black? Brown — deep chocolate with a lighter center near the pupil and a soft, ringless edge.
What makeup works with them? Warm neutrals: taupe and bronze shadow, brown liner, champagne highlighter, nude or berry lips.
Can I wear them every day? Yes, for a natural soft-glam eye. Save heavy liner for evening.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
