Quick answer

Cedar Hush Brown Contact Lenses are an everyday brown lens with a solid chocolate-to-caramel blend and no busy pattern. In short, they give brown contact lenses a calm, polished look that works with real clothes.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a full brown field: the center is deep chocolate brown, diffusing into a warmer caramel brown toward the edge. There is no dot, mesh, or fleck pattern visible, no separate lens gloss, and no hard outer rim; the edge simply softens into the iris.

What to Wear With Brown

  1. Oatmeal and denim: cream ribbed knit, straight-leg jeans, tan suede loafers, and small gold hoops.
  2. Office neutrals: oatmeal blazer, white cotton tee, charcoal trousers, and a slim silver watch.
  3. Evening warmth: chocolate satin slip dress, taupe wool coat, bronze hoops, and a nude lip.

Where They Fit

They suit errands, office days, travel, and daylight portraits; at a low-key party, they stay subtle rather than theatrical. For cosplay or a stage look, I would choose a more graphic lens.

Everyday Wear: Yes

They work for daily styling when you want a defined brown eye without visible texture. They are less playful than a lens with flecks or a hard rim, so skip them if you want obvious drama.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses?

They are solid brown, with a deep chocolate center that softens into warm caramel brown at the edge.

What should I wear with them?

Cream, denim, oatmeal, charcoal, and chocolate satin all flatter the warm tone; gold and silver both work.

Do they look natural for everyday wear?

Yes—the design has no dot pattern, gloss, or hard rim, so the effect stays soft in daylight.

  • We recommend a rub and rinse before soaking soft lenses for a minimum of 6 hours in their container.
  • Don't wear contact lenses overnight.
  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.
  • Don't use saline solution for contact lens cleaning or disinfection.
  • Replace your contact lens case every two to three months.
  • Take out your contacts if they are bothering you.
  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
