Quick answer

Candlelit Satin Brown Contact Lenses are a cool tea-brown lens with a fine dot-mesh finish and a feathered edge — soft glam polish for weddings, dinners and camera-ready evenings. Choose them when you want brown contact lenses that read polished rather than dramatic.

What the Shade Looks Like

Up close the base is a cool tea brown with a faint taupe lean, so it never pulls orange. The center stays clear, then color builds through the mid-iris in dense, evenly spaced micro-dots — a pixelated mesh, not a painted ring. Toward the outer edge the dots thin out and dissolve, with no hard rim and no dark outline.

What to Wear With Brown

Brown contact lenses are the easiest neutral you own, so build the outfit around warm metals and soft fabrics.

  1. Evening satin. A champagne slip dress, a thin gold chain, bare shoulders.
  2. Soft-glam bridal. Ivory crepe, brushed gold studs, a nude lip and blended taupe shadow.
  3. Everyday neutrals. Cream knit, camel wool, blue denim, small gold hoops.

Where They Fit

Dinners, weddings, prom and studio shoots are home turf. The blended edge also handles a Tuesday at the office and a weekend brunch, because it reads like your own iris rather than a costume piece. A party or cosplay look works too — keep the makeup soft.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one condition: keep the eye makeup blended. Sheer base, taupe shadow, curled lashes and a nude lip is the whole recipe. Graphic liner fights the diffused mesh.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? A cool tea brown with a faint taupe lean and a clear center. The color comes from a fine dot mesh that fades at the edge.

What should I wear with them? Champagne satin and gold for evening, ivory and pearl-grey for bridal, cream knit and camel wool by day.

Are they wearable every day? Yes. The rimless, diffused edge keeps them looking natural in daylight — just keep the liner soft.

  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
