Quick answer

Candlelight Waltz Brown Contact Lenses are brown contact lenses built for soft glam: a deep chocolate field, a fine pixel mesh and no hard rim, so the eye reads richer rather than dressed up.

What the Shade Looks Like

The color is deep chocolate brown, closer to espresso than to honey. The center opens clear over the pupil, the mid zone carries a hair-fine pixel mesh that breaks the color into soft grain, and the outer edge fades out instead of drawing a ring. No grey band, no black rim, no sparkle — just a smooth, matte-leaning wash.

What to Wear With Brown

Let the clothes carry the shine.

  1. Champagne satin, brushed gold. Bias-cut silk slip dress, thin gold hoops, strappy sandals, dewy skin, nude lip.
  2. Espresso tailoring, pearls. Espresso wool blazer, ivory ribbed knit, straight trousers, pearl studs, peach blush.
  3. Camel and oat monochrome. Camel coat, oat cashmere crewneck, rose-gold earrings, taupe shadow one shade deeper than the lens.

Where They Fit

Wedding guest duty, rehearsal dinners, prom, engagement photos, an eight o’clock reservation. They also suit a polished party or a soft cosplay look — nothing spooky here.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with soft makeup. In daylight the mesh blends into the lash line, so they pass at a desk or on a Saturday of errands. Stack a dense smoky eye on top and the two fight; save that for evening.

FAQ

What color are these brown contact lenses? Deep chocolate with a fine pixel mesh and a faded edge — no grey, no amber shift.

What should I wear with them? Warm neutrals: champagne, camel, ivory, espresso. Brushed gold and pearls both work; cool silver fights the warmth.

Can I wear them every day? Yes — the mesh reads as your own iris in daylight and only looks styled once lashes and blush go on.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
