Quick answer
Camellia Silk Sapphire Blue Contact Lenses give a vivid azure blue with a fine pixel-dot texture — bold enough for photos, easy enough for a Tuesday.
What the Shade Looks Like
The blue is a true, saturated azure rather than a pastel. The center opens lighter, near pale ice, then deepens into a denser royal blue toward the edge. The whole surface is built from tiny dot clusters, a fine halftone mesh that gives the color a soft printed grain instead of a flat painted wash. Those dots compress into a darker ring at the outer edge, framing the iris. A soft highlight catches across the upper curve.
What to Wear With Blue
Blue behaves like denim — it flatters almost everything.
-
Cream and ecru. A cotton poplin shirt, ecru wide-leg trousers, tan suede loafers, brushed-gold hoops.
-
Denim on denim. A light-wash trucker jacket, white ribbed tank, mid-blue jeans, silver chain.
-
Black and silver. A satin slip dress, charcoal blazer, patent ankle boots, slim silver cuff.
Where They Fit
Errand days, coffee runs, desk-to-dinner afternoons. They also hold up in photos, so concerts, birthday dinners, and cosplay or Halloween styling are natural. If a look calls for bright blue eyes, the saturation carries under flash.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with a caveat. The shade is vivid enough to read as a styling choice, so it’s ideal when you want that polish and less so when you want something that disappears. Keep the rest of your makeup quiet and it feels effortless.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
