Quick answer

Blossom Autumn Cocoa Brown Contact Lenses are a deep chocolate iris with a soft dark rim. If you want brown contact lenses that read rich and smoky instead of flat, start here.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a clear center ringed by fine dots, then dense chocolate building through the mid-iris. Worn, that print sits like a subtle stippled mesh, and the center stays open so your pupil still shows.

The dots tighten into a dark charcoal rim with a clean circular edge — that rim does the defining. A small white reflection sits on the graphic; worn, a bright catchlight appears with a smaller second glint.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Oatmeal and camel. Ribbed oatmeal sweater, camel wool trousers, cream trench, brushed gold hoops, tan belt.

2. Black and silver. Black slip dress or black tee with a charcoal blazer, silver hoops, thin chain, espresso leather.

3. Rust and denim. Rust corduroy jacket over an ivory tee, dark indigo denim, tan suede boots.

Where They Fit

Office days, video calls, and coffee runs are home base. The dark rim looks deliberate on camera and quiet beside neutral makeup.

Travel photos, birthday dinners, and smoky party styling work too; cosplay and character looks are fair game.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, this is an everyday shade — depth and definition without a color that announces itself. Skip it if you want a bare, undone finish, since the rim is visible and the mid-iris runs medium-to-dark.

FAQ

Warm or dark? Both, in layers: warm medium-dark brown through the middle, charcoal at the rim.

What should I pair with these brown contact lenses? Cream, camel, and rust for warmth; black, charcoal, and silver for smoke.

Can I wear them daily? Yes for most settings — keep makeup soft so the defined rim stays balanced.

  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
