Quick Answer
Bijou Azure Blue Contact Lenses are a clear, evenly blended mid-blue with no hard outer rim. They add a soft-glam wash of blue that looks polished in person and beautiful on camera.
What the Shade Looks Like
The close-up shows one clean blue, holding its tone from the pupil out to the edge. There is no dark ring and no charcoal band, just a soft, airy diffusion that lets the color melt into the natural iris instead of sitting on top of it. The finish looks even rather than glassy, so you get blue without a mirror flash, and the outer edge fades.
What to Wear With Blue Contact Lenses
Blue is a cool note, so it wakes up next to warm neutrals and clean metal.
-
Bridal champagne. A champagne silk slip dress, ivory pumps, pearl drops, brushed-gold cuff, taupe crease.
-
Evening black and silver. A black column dress, silver chain, grey shadow, fluttery lashes.
-
Weekend cream and denim. Oatmeal knit, ecru straight-leg jeans, tan boots, brick-nude lip.
Where They Fit
Weddings, engagement photos, prom, holiday dinners, and any evening where the lighting does half the work. They photograph well on travel days and can push a cosplay look if you want stylized.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes — as long as the rest of your makeup stays soft and blended, they read as a styling accent, not a costume. Skip them on bare-faced mornings when you want zero color.
FAQ
Are these blue contact lenses truly blue? They read as a clear mid-blue with a blended edge and no dark rim — soft light on the eye rather than a painted ring.
What should I wear with them? Champagne, cream, camel, and black; warm neutrals flatter a cool blue, and silver or brushed gold both work.
Can I wear them by day? Yes. With a bare lid and mascara they stay quiet; with full soft-glam makeup they turn camera-ready.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
