Quick Answer

Baby Tee Moss Green Contact Lenses are a muted, hazy green with a sage center and a smoky olive edge. If you want green contact lenses that whisper instead of shout, this is your pair.

What the Shade Looks Like

The base is a soft moss green with a milky grey-green haze over the center, so the middle reads lit-from-behind rather than solid. Moving outward, the color deepens into olive and eases into a gentle rim — visible, but diffused, never a hard black ring. A fine dot-and-mesh texture runs across the iris; it looks like soft focus from arm’s length and only shows its pattern up close. The bright patch at the top of the eye is the photo’s catchlight, so expect a soft, diffused finish.

What to Wear With Moss Green

Three ways I’d style it:

1. Frosted Mall Glam — cropped baby tee, low-rise bootcut denim, chunky silver hoops, frosty white-silver shadow and clear gloss.

2. Soft Sage Sunday — pistachio slip dress or oatmeal ribbed cardigan over a white tank, thin gold chains, ballet flats.

3. Flash-Photo Night — satin mini in olive or slate, a slim silver cuff, glossy brown lips, frosty inner corner.

Where They Fit

Coffee runs, class, office days, weekend trips and camera-flash nights all take this shade easily. It also suits cosplay and costumed photos when you want a soft fantasy eye rather than a neon one.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Unambiguous yes. The hazy center and soft rim keep this pair calm in daylight, which makes it one of the easier green contact lenses to wear on a normal Tuesday. Skip it only if you want a loud, saturated emerald.

FAQ

What color are these green contact lenses? Moss green — hazy sage in the middle, deepening into olive with a diffused rim. Not emerald, not neon.

What should I wear with them? Treat moss green as a neutral: baby tee and low-rise denim for pop-glam, pistachio or oatmeal for something softer, and cool silver or thin gold jewelry.

Can I wear them every day? Yes. The shade is muted enough for work, class and errands; save the frosty shadow and gloss for flash-photo nights.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
