Quick answer
Azure Voltage Blue Contact Lenses are a saturated, spotlight blue that reads as a styling choice, not a subtle tweak. Wear them on days when you want the eyes to land first.
What the Shade Looks Like
The close-up shows a rich cobalt blue base with a brighter glow around the center. The tone deepens from a light middle into a denser blue, then a defined darker rim frames the shape. A fine dotted mesh softens every transition, so the color looks printed rather than flat. A crisp white highlight sits near the top, and the outer rim stays thin and even.
What to Wear With Blue
-
Clean contrast. White poplin shirt, light grey wool blazer, faded straight denim, silver hoops, bare lip.
-
Night-out edge. Black satin slip dress, cropped leather jacket, chrome necklace, berry lip. Black makes the blue flare.
-
Warm-weather softness. Cream ribbed tank, ecru wide-leg trousers, tan sandals, brushed gold jewelry, peachy blush.
Where They Fit
Parties, concerts, and photo shoots are the obvious scenes. For cosplay, they suit bright-eyed anime or sci-fi characters, especially with silver hair. Travel days and quiet weekends work too, as long as the outfit stays neutral.
Everyday Wear: Yes
Yes, with one condition. Groomed brows, mascara, and a nude lip make them office-friendly; skip them for interviews or formal events where the blue would speak louder than you. Treat these everyday blue contact lenses like a bold lipstick, not a neutral.

Understanding Your Prescription
-
Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
- OD - Right Eye
- OS - Left Eye
- OU - Both Eyes
-
SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
-
BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
-
DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)
Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses
Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:
-
CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
-
AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)
Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes
- Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
- BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
