Quick Answer

Autumn Amber Honey Brown Contact Lenses are a warm amber-honey brown pair with a pale, glowing center and a solid dark rim. If you want caramel warmth plus definition, start here.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a pale honey center that melts into medium amber-brown across the mid-iris, then stops at a solid, continuous dark rim. That rim is the loudest detail — it draws a clean circle instead of fading out. A fine dot-matrix mesh covers the surface, so the color reads as printed texture rather than a flat wash. There is a small bright catchlight near the pupil, and the tone stays warm and dense from center to edge.

What to Wear With Brown

1. Warm Neutrals. Cream ribbed knits, camel wool, oatmeal linen, brushed gold hoops.

2. Cool Contrast. Black leather, charcoal denim, crisp white shirting, silver hoops.

3. Saturated Earth Tones. Rust satin, olive corduroy, bronze hardware, rose-gold jewelry.

Where They Fit

Brunch, campus days, coffee runs, travel photos. Date nights and parties get a caramel lift without going costume. Cosplay and themed shoots work too when a character calls for warm honeyed eyes.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, with one caveat: the amber-honey tone reads softly in daylight, but the solid dark rim is a statement. Keep makeup simple — soft brown liner, warm bronzer, and a satin lip.

FAQ

What color are these lenses? Amber honey brown: a pale glowing center deepening into caramel, ringed by a defined dark rim.

What should I wear with brown contact lenses? Cream, camel, and gold keep them soft; black, charcoal, and silver make them graphic.

Can I wear them daily? Yes, they read well in daylight and photos, though the rim keeps them a statement, not an invisible lens.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
