Quick answer

Aurora Velvet Green Contact Lenses are a vivid pick for anyone who wants green contact lenses with a saturated, jewel-toned look. They pop in photos but still work with a polished outfit.

What the Shade Looks Like

The close-up shows a saturated green base that leans slightly teal, with a rich emerald edge framing the iris. The center opens into a fine dotted mesh, blurring toward the pupil instead of making a hard line. A small white highlight gives the surface a glossy, bead-like shine, while the outer ring stays dark and defined. The texture is even, which keeps the green vivid rather than painted on.

What to Wear With Green

Green loves contrast, but it also plays well with earthy neutrals. Let the lenses be the boldest note.

  1. Black + silver for night: a black slip dress, cropped leather jacket, and silver chain jewelry.
  2. Oatmeal + olive for daytime: an oatmeal knit cardigan, ivory ribbed tee, and olive wide-leg trousers.
  3. Denim + white for travel: a faded denim jacket, white tank, and cream straight-leg jeans with pearl studs.

Where They Fit

These green contact lenses work for birthday dinners, rooftop photo sessions, concerts, and cosplay styling where you want the eyes to lead. For work or travel, keep makeup clean—neutral shadow, soft brow, satin lip—so the green reads as an accessory.

Everyday Wear: Yes

Yes, they can work for everyday wear when the rest of your look stays simple. The dotted transition keeps the green from looking flat, but the shade is still vivid, so it’s best when you want your eyes to be the focal point. If you prefer a barely-there lens, this one may feel too bold.

FAQ

What color are these green contact lenses?
They are a vivid, jewel-toned green with a darker emerald rim and a fine dotted fade through the center.

What outfits pair well with green contact lenses?
Try black and silver for evening, oatmeal and olive for daytime, or denim and white for travel.

Are they suitable for everyday wear?
They can be when you keep the rest of your makeup and outfit clean; the shade is a statement, not a subtle tweak.

  • Don't wear contact lenses overnight.
  • Don't wear your contact lenses in the shower or while swimming.
  • Don't reuse contact lens solution.

  • Replace your contact lens case every two to three months.
  • Take out your contacts if they are bothering you.
  • Never use saliva as a wetting agent.

Typical Contact Lens Prescription

Eye Power/SPH BC DIA CYL
OD (Right) -2.25 8.8 14.0 -1.25
OS (Left) -3.00 8.8 14.0 -1.25

Understanding Your Prescription

  • Eye - Which eye the prescription line item is for:
    • OD - Right Eye
    • OS - Left Eye
    • OU - Both Eyes
  • SPH - Sphere (this can also be referred to as Power or PWR)
  • BC - Base Curve (usually a number between 8 and 10)
  • DIA - Diameter (usually a number between 13 and 15)

Toric (Astigmatism Correcting) Lenses

Some patients require lenses that are toric or astigmatism correcting. Prescriptions for these types of lenses will also contain two additional numbers that relate to the correction of the astigmatism. These two numbers are usually separated by an "X" and read as "times", they are indicated with the following symbols/abbreviations:

  • CYL - Cylinder (usually a number between -4.00 and +4.00)
  • AX - Axis (usually a number between 0 and 180)

Additional Contact Lens Prescription Notes

  • Your prescription will also contain an expiration date. This is typically one year from the date that the contact lenses were fitted.
  • BC values range from about 8.0 to 10.0. The doctor fits the lens with the curvature most appropriate for your eye. Most lenses come in several different BC values. If your prescription does not contain a BC value, this is likely because your brand of lens only comes in one base curve.
